Os sistemas elétricos isolados: impacto socioeconômico nas comunidades rurais do Amazonas no percurso do linhão de Tucuruí e adjacências

Abstract

The energy integration of the Amazon, especially in regions that are difficult to access, such as rural communities located on the Tucuruí line route and surroundings, is challenging. Technological advancement and the growing need for clean electricity to promote development and create opportunities, many communities remain excluded or partially served. Investments are concentrated in large centers, leaving vulnerable areas unassisted or with a low level of access. This work investigated the socioeconomic impact of the Isolated Electric System in these communities, identifying the peculiarities of the affected populations. It was found that, despite being close to the energy infrastructure, riverside families suffer from the intermittent supply of energy, which harms education, health and local commerce, deeply affecting the quality of life. Dissatisfaction with the low quality of energy and dependence on inefficient thermoelectric systems is evident. The study proposes forms of compensation to minimize these impacts, aiming to improve the lives of these populations and contribute to a fairer electrification.
