Design e sustentabilidade: estratégias e diretrizes projetuais de embalagem ecoeficiente no Polo Industrial de Manaus

Abstract

The project at the Manaus Industrial Pole focused on the development of eco-efficient packaging, creating a best practices manual for the production of sustainable packaging, considering the product's life cycle. With the growth in the production of plastic, paper, and cardboard packaging, the need for sustainable practices to mitigate environmental impacts was highlighted. The project used data collection, analysis of industrial indicators, and the application of ecodesign strategies. The results included reduced environmental impact and the promotion of sustainable practices in the industrial sector. Identified guidelines included the use of recycled materials, reduction of packaging weight and volume, energy efficiency in production, design for recyclability and reuse, and consumer education on recycling. The study categorized design strategies and proposed guidelines such as the removal of unnecessary components and the facilitation of packaging disassembly. In addition, the diagnosis of the packaging sector in the PIM was presented through a quantitative survey. Finally, the study presented conceptual guidelines at the level of interference of Ecoefficiency for the packaging sector of the PIM, such as: In compliance with CAS resolution no. 205/2025,Use of the “Amazon Seal”, Integration of ESG Principles and Analysis of the Perspective of Adequacy of the PPB to standardize the use of eco-efficient packaging – Air conditioning.
