Abstract

In a world increasingly driven by information and knowledge, understanding the importance of IP is important to enable future professionals to create innovations and intellectual assets that can be legally protected. In this sense, this research seeks to identify the approach to Intellectual Property with at the Federal University of Amazonas, for courses in the areas of Biological and Agricultural Sciences. The specific objectives are: to identify the occurrence of subjects that cover Intellectual Property, by analyzing the Course Pedagogical Projects; to identify the degree of knowledge of students in IP and how this knowledge is passed on in the institution, by means of a questionnaire; to develop didactic material, in order to encourage the dissemination of the theme in UFAM's undergraduate courses. The methodology, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, included bibliographical research, document analysis and the application of questionnaires to undergraduate students in the areas of Biological and Agricultural Sciences. The results showed that the concepts are not very present in the education of the students on the courses analyzed, identifying that none of the PPCs are currently oriented towards the institution's current PDI and curriculum guidelines. Regarding the level of sufficiency of the subject, 73.4% of respondents do not feel prepared with the knowledge they have learned so far. It is therefore hoped that the product generated, in the form of sequenced videos, will make the subject accessible to both students and course coordinators, and that this research as a whole will contribute to informing and disseminating the concept of IP within the academic context for the courses analyzed, highlighting its strategic role in academic, scientific and professional development.
